No Place To Hide

Silent and still, the night surrounds the weary warrior's bed - While the tumult of the killing ground rages inside his head - Though long ago and far away, War spreads its fingers wide - He feels its fiery touch each day - Sleep gives no place to hide. - Lachlan Irvine.

Autobiographical Info Again

I have been adding a little each day to my life story in My Personal Pages. Rather than starting at the beginning, which would mean that it would be a long time before my Vietnam story was told, let alone the interesting times I've had since then, I have divided my life story into several pages and I'm adding a little at a time to each of them. For example, there is the story of my early life, my parents and extended family, the story of how I came to join the army, how I became a founding member of 8RAR, the start of my Vietnam story, and the beginnings of my life after Vietnam. Each of these pages is a work in progress, and they will all grow considerably in the coming weeks.

More Autobiographical Info

I have taken my life story up until I became a founding member of the 8th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (8RAR). The story is in My Personal Pages, on pages entitled Family Album Page Two and Family Album Page Three.

Autobiographical Info

I've had a number of requests from students lately for information about myself. It seems as we get closer to Anzac Day, students are being asked to study war poetry, and my name occasionally comes up, thanks to the "120 war poems of the century" website.
For this reason, I've started telling my life story on my website. I'm using the "family album" pages, in the part of my site that is called "My Personal Pages."
Today I've written about the year I left school, started work, and eventually decided to join the army. I will notify this blog whenever I have added more.
